Thought it was a decent episode on the whole, looked very good and Tennant was great. Face of Boe predictable but it sets up an interesting finale, that hopefully won't involve the Daleks again.

Felt that was a very plodding episode. Thought maybe they could have done a lot more with a story of people trapped in an undercity where the overcity had perished.
One of the weakest episodes of the whole series for me, saved by the interactions between The Doctor and Martha and The Doctor and the Face of Boe.

Yeah, am entirely underwhelmed by the prospect of the Doctor facing a dalek yet again.
Although I guess it is important in providing more of an explanation about the timewar/survivors/last of his kind for both Martha and the audience.

I guess 'You are not alone' confirms the return of the Master.

Far from being the best episode, but reasonably watchable all the same- I won't bother watching it again though. The constant references to Gallifrey, the Timelords and the Doctor's family is being laid on a bit thick, it's a shame the show isn't in the hands of a more subtle, less heavy-handed writer than RussT, but he's at least improving slightly (Love & Monsters couldn't have been much worse). Amusing to see the Macra return (sort of) and personally, I'm always open to the Daleks' return. It does seem odd that two unrelated episodes are set in (roughly) the same place in succession though (Future New York, old Manhattan).

I thought DT all but confirmed it, the Master is the middle ground.

Just a little confusion:
Expected "You are not alone" but I swear just a few seconds earlier Boe said something along the lines of "I am the last of my kind...as you are of yours"
So if the Master is a time lord (even if he is very different to the Doctor) then surely the Doctor isn't the last of his kind?
Can anyone explain this?
I realise the Master isn't certain to come back but seems likely...so why the discrepancy? Or did I mishear?
