can we throw on the Daleks too (not kill them just slow them down for say 10 years ) ad neausium tbh, in S1 they were  now its "oh ffs you again?" </BLOCKQUOTE>

AIUI the beeb had a 3 year deal with the Nation estate. So this could be the last continuous year that Daleks are in the series.

As for some people idea that the Doctor antagonizing Queen Victoria backlashed 300 years is just plain ridiculous. If it's not shown in the series that I'd expect it to be in one of the novels even though most of them aren't canon. It could even be post-regenertation as she could have some ability to recogize the Doctor, other people and species have before.

BTW Gav and Gregg can have Sophia if I can have Christina

The thing with the Daleks is that generally kids love them so I would be very surprised if there wasn't another deal done with Terry Nations estate to have them back in the future.

I don't mind the Daleks really but just hope that for this series they don't crop up in the finale again like in series two. I found that most disappointing that the Daleks have featured in both finales to the two new series. I'll grudginly admit to enjoying the scenes between the Daleks and Cybermen in Doomsday when they were dissing each other but overall I would have preffered the Daleks to have cropped up somewhere else in series two other than the finale.

Thinking about Doctor Who on Saturday I liked the bit where The Doctor says 'Martha comes from Freemania' or words to that effect.

I like Tennant. Never watched any of the previous Dr Who incarnations, and in fact I missed chunks of last year, but there's something about him that's intriguing.

They can't really do that.
The Christmas special needs to be a one off story and not really something carried over from the series.

Unless it's the Saxon/Master unmasking and the Christmas special is the Doctor v the Master.

The next episode of hit sci-fi series Doctor Who will be shelved for a week if Saturday's FA Cup semi-final runs into extra time.
BBC One is showing Watford's clash with Manchester United before the drama, and says it will postpone the show to make way for any extra play or penalties.

A spokeswoman said the programme could not be broadcast after extra time as it would be "too late" for younger fans.

Saturday's episode features comedian Ardal O'Hanlon as a guest star.

If it is postponed, it will have a knock-on effect on BBC Three's schedules for the rest of the week.

Behind-the-scenes show Doctor Who Confidential, which normally goes out straight after the BBC One programme, will also be postponed for a week.

It will be replaced by Rose - the very first episode of the revamped Doctor Who series from 2005.

New York Daleks

On Sunday, when the BBC One show is usually repeated, viewers will see The Christmas Invasion, 2005's festive special.

Doctor Who has been a huge ratings success for the BBC, with 8.2 million viewers tuning in for the first episode of series three.

The opening programme saw the Doctor, played by David Tennant, joined by a new assistant, trainee doctor Martha Jones - played by actress Freema Agyeman.

Last week's show saw the time-travellers visit Shakespearean London. A future episode features the Daleks invading New York.

The BBC says the decision on whether to pull this week's show from the Saturday evening schedule will be made "on the day".
