It wasn't just hints that the Doctor destroyed the Daleks and the Timelords.
In the epsiode "Dalek" he described the death of the Daleks and said that he "made it happen" and that the Timelords had lost the war.
I believe he had a choice, destroy both the Daleks and the Timelords or let the Daleks destroy the Timelords and let them have full rein in the universe.

| Well harsh, weren't it.
I was well surprised to see Jackie Tyler win. I thought she'd go out early. And Capt Jack going on about just having 'the family' left was a crock of s**t. He hadn't been in Dr Who since the end of series 1.
Quite disappointed that Rose/Billie wasn't involved. Then again, she probably thinks she's too big for those type of things now. Quote:

| Looks good from what we could see. Daleks are back which is good. Not too sure about the wedding bit. That might actually put me off and the fact that they have brought back Jack. After watching Torchwood, my opinion of the character was dropped. Never was too keen on him mind. Also, John Simm as the new doctor would be brilliant (if it would ever happen) as I think he's very a underrated actor.

Didn't the Doctor make some gag about saying "Allons-y" last series, hinting that there may be a character called Alonso involved at some point?
Most pointless speculation ever.
Looks rather superb, perfect saturday evening TV. I'm looking forward to meeting Martha, but I hope she doesn't have the same Eastend accent as Rose. I like a girl with a nice, queen's english plummy accent myself! There's some great snapshots in that trailer, the Daleks are always glorious, John Simm looks set to deliver some Tony Ainley levels of hamtasticality (word) and the whole 'I am not the Doctor!' bit, especially with the big bow tie, is damnably perplexing. Just a shame about Captain Jack returning really, I never liked him and you can be sure he'll only really be used to further push RussT's gay agenda. Still, marvellous stuff.
