Default OTF Football Manager 2008 thread

The demo is out this Sunday (30/9), with versions for other countries coming later.

So what do you think of the blogs? Can't say I'm at all impressed. The latest one talks about the skin and "Facegen", which have both already been savaged by the customers AFAIK.

Pitch sizes and captaincy do very little for me and if there's one thing I don't want it's yet more tedious media stuff.

Let's hope they're holding a lot back for us to see for ourselves.

not impressed by skins considering user made ones are always ten times better anyway. Didnt really like 07 so i hope this will be an improvement

How long did it take for people to get to work on skins last time?

I always look forward to each game and clap and grin like a happy seal at each new little thing.

No other games come close to FM's value for money for me.

Roll on Sunday!

I'm still awaiting a massive new feature they have kept hidden so far, otherwise the new feature list is incredibly lackluster.

Although, as long as tactics are more like they were in FM06 than in FM07, I can't say i'll be too unhappy with the finished product.

It's opinions like that which stop the game being as good as it should be.

I don't think there's going to be anything magical in there. It does sound more like gradual development rather than revolution.

There are some obvious flaws in FM07 which have detracted from my enjoyment of it more than previous versions. So long as they set about trying to right those, then I'm all for it. But then some of them - like your players only having about a 1 in 4 chance of passing to a teammate - have always been there. Maybe they think that's right.

Corners I found really irritating in FM07. They were a liability, no matter how many different tactics I tried at them.

I thought it was complacency and lack of competition?

Pitch size? Jesus. So much more to look at SI.

Skins can **** off too. Still look at the car crash no matter how good the view.
