LEAGUE FORMAT

Same as last year with one championship in existence, available racers split into two groups of 11. If there are less people available, the groups will be split into two groups of 10, 9 8, or whatever.

In order to decide who will race in which group, at some point before each race, whether a couple of days or 15mins at 9:45pm, every driver will do a five minute qualifying session, with at least one other OTF driver participating (probably me or Juve due to having cameras), which would produce a result verifiable by photo evidence. It would be preferable that as many people as possible could do this immediately before the race at 9:45pm but like I say, if that isn’t possible or people would like it done earlier, that should be ok.

Following this process, all of the results will then be logged, ranked split into two equal groups with the fastest 7/8 people in race 1, the slowest 7/8 in race 2. Following the race, points will be awarded, effectively treating them as one big race, with race 1 making up say 1st-7th and race two making up 8th-14th.

POINTS SYSTEM

14 drivers will be eligible for points, to be awarded as follows:

20, 16, 14, 12, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1

RULES

Backmarkers MUST let the leaders through cleanly when being lapped: Important one this, nothing more annoying than coming up to lap someone who isn’t helpful and holds you up. Even if it slows you down, let them by and don’t try to re-overtake them again unless they’re really slow

Participation confirmation:If you have not confirmed your participation in a particular race by 9:40pm on raceday, and you trot online at 9:45pm expecting to pre-qualifying and there is no room for you, tough.

Just here to say good luck.
I hope you see how hard it is to use a democracy system in a set up like this. It was why i tried to dictate some rules and you fought me.
Now the democratic freedom fighter has established his own empire and stated that the rules are NON-NEGOTIABLE. The irony is delicious.......but good luck all the same. Your length of service to OTF and friends you gathered will guarantee you succeed.

I realise the irony in the non-negotiable bit, but still, no regrets.

To be honest so long as I get a decent core of users in here, say 6/7 I'll be fairly happy. I know the no AI will put some people off, but it's a different option.

If it fails and nobody else joins then so be it
