I'm the same Hector, but you have to remember that online the lap times are a couple of seconds quicker all the time so you're not that far off online. My target in every race is to be two seconds a lap slower than Juve's best, if I can do that I'll be ok.
Brett said himself that 1:18's are more common for him.

Pfft I turned the green line off after about two corners on the day I bought the game and never looked back Couldn't cope with it, far too annoying.

Well Juve still uses Steering Assistance, which is far more annoying
I find the line helps me learn the track, but the take it off in races, because like you said it gets annoying
