Rep Power: 0 | League 2 Prediction League Shamelessly stolen from higgerz Teh Rulz
For each set of fixtures posted on here, predict the scoreline for each game. Score:
Correct result - 1 point
Correct scoreline - 3 points
Select one game from each fixture set to be your "nap" (I prefer the term "joker", but you can't steal someone else's idea and then change bits of it...) to score double points.
Watch out for extra bonus point scoring opportunities in each weeks entry. Teh Pre-Season predictions
A few predictions now, to be revisited at the end of the season - these could prove vital in the final tally! Promoted 4 5 points for each team correct. Relegated 2 5 points for each team correct. Top scorer (Player) 15 points if correct. Top scorer (Team) 10 points if correct. Your team points for season (If you don't follow basement footy, then why are you here? Just pick a team FFS!) 20 points if correct, 10 points if within 5, 5 points if within 10.
Closing date for teh Pre-Season predictions: 31st July, 23:59 at which time the first set of fixtures can be predicted.
This post to be irritatingly repeated at the top of each page (assuming the thread gets past page 1) for the next month.

He was fffb. I remember watching him playing for Hucknall Town against Lancaster City when he was about 17 | yep him. he was good tbf, but his contract was up and i don't think he was ever interested in signing a new one, especially with us going down. orient have the same goalkeeping coach as we did so i think they always had nelson lined up if garner didn't stay.
so he's gone, nathan abbey's gone and according to the non-league paper or something we have released clark masters at his request or something, but this is completelt unconfirmed. if it is true though that'll mean that three of the four keepers we used last season have been released, the only one remaining being john mousinho
and i will ponder my predictions now

So Nelson is a fairly decent signing in your opinion then nicky? I'm sceptical as I honestly don't know that much about him, only that Abbey played most of last season for you, and tbf from what i've seen of Abbey he was abysmal. I know Nelson was injured but surely he wasn't behind Abbey in the pecking order?
I was just starting to feel comfortable with Garner as well.

well nelson is quite good imo. the two seasons before last he was really good and helped us get up near the top definitely, and then when he got injured we missed him. but then i though abbey was quite good for us, although when we had him on trial in pre-season he was utter rubbish.
but yeah, nelson is easily good enough for league one, and he's fun too what with being mental, proved by the match last season where in the warmup he practiced his scorpion kicks, the match where the ball went out near the corner flag and he inexplicably just dived for no reason and when he argued with the orient ballboys or something when we played there.

| Andy Cooke divides some of the Shrewsbury fans but I really rate him. If you saw the semi final against MK Dons you will have seen he is a quality finisher. He works hard, puts himself about, good control, can link the play and scores goals. We have only offered him a 1year contract and told him he will not be first choice.
Would be gutted to see him leave. If he does go that is two local players leaving us (Dave Edwards the other) both supported the Town from the terraces.
What's that coming over the hill?
The COOKIE monster!

news from the Rec:
Kyle Critchell, released by us in April after a three-month stint, has been signed by Weymouth on a 2-year deal
More importantly, Oldham have apparently made an enquiry about signing Mark Allott. Well, re-signing him. But according to Rico, "the two clubs have a different view on the player's valuation", which probably means we'll ask for too much and they'll walk away. Shame.

No chance, half the teams haven't even got 11 players to field yet.
