The WWE comes home *NEW THREAD, NEW START, NO SPOILERS FOR ANY WRESTLING BEFORE SHOW IS AIRED IN UK* Post #772 | | Guest |
From Tims website Quote:
The FriendlyTap.com Guestbook as been temporarily closed by the webmaster. It will return Thursday, Dec. 22nd.
The reason I am doing is in on my, the webmaster's, behalf.
Some people get too carried away and post things that have no bearing with Tim or the story that he helped portray at Armageddon. But this was to be expected.
Please realize, the storylines the WWE portray is fiction, just like 90% of the shows you see on television, and should be taken as nothing more than that.
Believe me, I have been a wrestling fan for over 27 years. Some of what is shown on TV I don't care for, but then again, some do. Most fans "poo poo" all over what they don't understand. Most fans refuse to believe that wrestling isn't what it was about 10-20 years ago. As much as I would like to see those days return, I know that it is almost impossible to recreate an era that topped them all.
We all have to accept that what the WWE portrays is nothing more than a television show based in the world of professional wrestling, and not the other way around.
I remember a situation, remarkably similar to the one Tim was involved with. It had to do with the "character" The Undertaker "killing" his manager, Paul Bearer. Instead of it drawing massive criticism, it was applauded. Why? On television, it was shown that the Undertaker buried Paul Bearer in a tomb of cement, sealing him to his doom for all eternity. Yet, Tim is seen with a gun, walks off camera and all that is heard is a gunshot, and this grabs national attention as being "vile, disgusting, and inappropriate?" Might be just me, but seems like your sense of morals/priorities are a little mixed up.
I accept all criticism that you may have with this comment, because each one of you is entitled to your opinion.
And don't think I'm responding because some comments were harsh. I find them funny, and somehow, somewhere, Tim is looking down to us and having an eternal chuckle.
| As far as I remember no one applauded Taker killing Paul Bearer, most people laughed at the stupidity of it. Just like this one.
I also notice Sky cut the last bit of the Tim White segment out of the repeats of the PPV, you only see the first bit but it dosnt show Tim going off with the gun.
I must say its funny though the way the commentators took it.
Cole: Whats just happened...
Tazz: Is he dead?...
Cole: ANYWAY NOW ITS TIME FOR CRUSERWEIGHT ACTION!!!

Anywhere else you can download wwe videos from?
I really want to see the invasion final match, not even the full match, just the ending when Rock and Stone Cold fight and Angle comes in.
