tbh, i only watched it (and enjoyed it)during these eras and i can't really say which i prefered.
Although Ultimate Warrior was my childhood hero | In the modern era, for me the absolute peak was WMX-7 in 2001. It remained near that level until about the end of 2001. The point when it started to decline was at the time of the brand extension in 2002 I think.

bar a couple of PPVs, X-7 In particular, 2001 was a dreadful year.
You're probably looking more to the late 1990's for the best era tbh.

i loved the early to mid 90's when it was more about the wrestling and less about the 'attitude' shock factor era.

Austin may even have some interaction with hulk hogan to set up hogan vs austin @ Wrestlemania.
Edge vs Matt hardy: Edge to win, but hardy to get the last laugh.
Angle vs Michaels: Probabley Angle but may even be a draw setting up a triple threat and may even lead to an elimination chamber match with cena michaels angle triple h ric flair and the masterpiece

just started to watch WWE again( I dunno why), good to see loads of new faces, but I do agree, theres less wrestling and more tlaking these days which is a shame
