Accumulators = bookie benefits tbh - singles/doubles the way forward!

Yeah, I've only ever got a 4 team accumulator right...

and those were pretty short odds... only about 4/1 in total

Accas will ALWAYS let you down.

I don't know how many times I hear people tell me their stories of "being let down by one team" costing them £5k.

Even when putting £100 on all the short priced favs in World Cup and Euro Champ qualifier games one will let you down. (Last time one let me down Ireland threw away a 2-0 lead against Israel and all the other 12 teams won )

Only done one 4-team accy since I left school 8 years ago. Used to always do them back then.

It came up though, last month, four Prem teams.

I've lumped on to Halifax tomorrow night on the strength of their ridiculously good home record.

They're playing Stevenage, so by no means a guaranteed win, as is reflected in the 2.11 odds I got, but I fancy they'll do the trick.

Didn't know you were a pro V&C! How goes it?

I like the idea of it, but am riding an IT gravy train for now (not to mention have a missus who will castrate me if she discovers me betting..).

So will just pop in and out of here in an amateurish way until I get more confident..

Commencing from the 14th April 2006 (when the other thread finishes) this becomes your betting shop, meet, talk to and discuss tips with other RANDOMS as if you were in a bookies.

Everybody is represented, Jack O'Sullivan is the resident 83yr old pensioner who likes to stake a slice on the total goals market so as to afford a couple more packets of mint humbugs per week. Jimmy129 is the guy with the glasses who sits in the corner then tries getting you to back various no-hopers because he's secretly working for the bookies or laying them off. Shawn Michaels and Aslan the local millionaires who revolve their life around horses and know their beans when it comes down to the shizzle so you can always find them lurking around and also merry_miller who will jinx and curse any team, horse or being that he cares to back. And last but not least, PandaLUFC the resident Scottish Football boffin.

So lets get it on...the betting commences.

For some reason on paddypower Man Utd are 4/11 for half time/full time against Sunderland, but 5/6 to win both halves against them.

Same in other matches, Arsenal are 17/10 to win both halves, yet 4/6 for half time/full.

Charlton 16/1 for both halves against Fulham, 5/1 for half time/full time. Fulham 11/2 both halves, and 12/5 half time/full time.

Think about it - Man U could win the first half 3-0 and lose the second half 1-0 and still win a ht/ft bet.
