Found this mock, i like it, kind of puts together some of the things that i've been thinking about the top 10 that i couldnt quite get sorted in my head.
1.) Oakland Raiders = Calvin Johnson [WR, Georgia Tech]
You don’t pass on a talent like this. I still think Moss will be traded, so there’s a spot open for CJ here.
2.) Detroit Lions = JaMarcus Russell [QB, Louisiana State]
I have a feeling Matt Millen will pass on Quinn because Quinn might remind him a little too much of Joey Harrington. Jon Kitna is on the wrong side of 30, and the Lions need some young blood at the quarterback position. Russell could fulfill his enormous potential teamed up with Mike Martz.
3.) Cleveland Browns = Brady Quinn [QB, Notre Dame]
Charlie Frye just doesn’t look like the answer. He’s more Craig Krenzel than he is Bernie Kosar. Savage and Crennel are reportedly enamored with Brady Quinn. It could be a smokescreen, but I think Savage will decide that taking an injury worry like Peterson with such a high pick in a talent-rich draft is a bad idea.
4.) Tampa Bay Buccaneers = Gaines Adams [DE, Clemson]
With Dewayne White signing with the Lions and Simeon Rice on the decline, the Buccaneers need an elite pass rusher in the worst way.
5.) Arizona Cardinals = Joe Thomas [OT, Wisconsin]
One of the easiest picks of the draft. I can’t see the Cardinals with all their offensive line woes passing up on Thomas if he’s available.
6.) Washington Redskins = Jamaal Anderson [DE, Arkansas]
In reality, I think they’ll trade down. For the purposes of this mock, I’ll give them Anderson. He’s the best pass rusher left on the board and the Redskins need somebody to start opposite Andre Carter. The Redskins add another piece to their revamped defense.
7.) Minnesota Vikings = LaRon Landry [S, Louisiana State]
For a 6-10 club, the Vikings have surprisingly few glaring holes. They could certainly use an upgrade at safety though, with aging vets Tank Williams and Darren Sharper serving as the stopgaps at the moment.
8.) Houston Texans = Adrian Peterson [RB, Oklahoma]
Sure, they signed Ahman Green, but I just can’t see the Texans passing on an explosive talent for the 2nd straight year. Texans fans might riot if they new that the Texans passed on the chance to have Vince Young or Reggie Bush, and Adrian Peterson.
9.) Miami Dolphins = Alan Branch [DT, Michigan]
Branch is an exceptional pass rusher who will fit in well in Miami’s 4-3/3-4 hybrid scheme. The Dolphins could use some youth on their defensive line.
10.) Atlanta Falcons = Levi Brown [OT, Penn State]
Atlanta’s pass protection has been atrocious and Petrino is trying to transition this team to more of a power running game from the zone blocking system. Brown is a mauling run blocker who is also a rock in pass protection, and he can play right tackle. That’s important for the Falcons, since he’ll be protecting Vick’s blindside.
