News update!
WENBs very own Mr Adam was today at a trade show in Birmingham of all places and got to play a near final build of the game that we are all patiently waiting for, here are the main points that I managed to translate during the phone call we have just had
* The game actually plays slower than the 360 demo that we have been playing for a few weeks
* In saying that the 360 version plays a slightly quicker game than the PS3 version
(Yeah, that confused me as well. Lets move on though eh)
* The PS3 version looks a bit more washed out but is still graphically sound
* The 360 version looks crisper but with it a bit more cartoony. The colours seem a lot more vivid * Edit mode on the next gen has been drastically reduced as expected:
* Only 9 sets of boots to choose from and kits styles are also limited to a set number of patterns
Adam was really impressed with how the game played on both consoles, there seemed a more realistic pace to it. He couldnt stop waffling on about how nice it felt to play and how superb everything was! I had to cut him off before the call turned into one I would have to pay £1.50 a minute for!
The version played by Ad is as close to the final version of the game available. Issues regarding gameplay and graphics could easily be resolved before release, whereas the content (teams, features etc) will be the same in the final version.
| Sweet f**king christ.
They really are bizarre, claim it's down to having to squeeze the new graphics onto a DVD. Erm, no.
Fortunately from what i've read, it shouldn't massively affect the option file makers and we should have kits near on perfect. Still balls.

I don't really care about boots and kits tbh. And slower and faster games (XBox is faster than PS3 PES) are on pitch, not loading screens etc, yeah?

Yeah, it's slower paced than the demo in game. No surprise, been well documented that was the case.

| How so?
Seems a bit silly that they've actually made edit mode worse, considering that they were making noises that it would be 'more in depth' and what not. Seems that they're reducing everything - 15 stadiums as well, reduced edit mode, less modes than last-gen etc. Good news about the game playing slower mind (even though we kinda knew that).
Not that I particularly care tbh, since I'm getting it on PC anyway. Patches coming out already |

Because the next gen editing suite is supposed to be similar to the current PS2/PC one. It's apparently trimmed down in comparison with the new PC version.
Reasons being what i posted above.

Ah I see. Although PC isn't next-gen too? I think I'm missing something.

Only on PC and PS2. But this year it was supposedly confirmed (probably true) that all versions will only be 1v1.
Seems a bit odd that all Konami are doing is trying to get the next gen versions back up to the standerd of the non next gen versions, and they are doing it in such a rapid pace that by 2018 we'll have the PC version of PES6 on the 360

| PC is next-gen but developers can do far more compression on PC Titles due to the game being able to be partly installed on the PC hard drives.

| We all are mate. Just going off what i have heard, that the next gen console versions will have it stripped down to similar to the PES5/6 edit mode, and the PS2/PC version will be the 'latest' edit mode.
