Ok, listened to the podcast.

Old build according to PES guys. Newer builds are not as quick in pace. Keepers supposedly better in later builds. Both feel like PES again (I agree).

Positive side being that, the guy who has played the very latest build says it's far better in later builds. Says in 'Wide' cam it's a perfect pace, 'a dream to play' apparently. Claims whatever you think of Fifa 08 DON'T jump ship. Not sure there's any danger of that for people with a clue that've played the Fifa demo.

360 version running a little too quick, but looks a little better.

People being more forgiving to Fifa this year. No s**t guys.

Overall, they seem very non-fanboyish, critical over the demo especially, and says the latest build is so so good. Mentioned no slowdown as a major point.

They are big time PS3 fanboys though. Making me want the PS3 version though tbh. Gonna buy both, aren't I?

Also made the fair point of the way it progressed on the last gen, where the difference between PES and PES3 was so massive. Saying Konami do take time to get used to new systems. Sounded excusey but i'm alright with it.

Just played my first few games, control is shocking and when defending my players seem unresponsive but I think that's all down to me not being used to the game tbf. The passing and shooting just seems 100% better judged, more realistic and the graphics seem nice enough. I am really struggling to keep possession hardly staying in the oppositions half.

Yes, Tuncay got booked for diving in the box against me, it was one of those roll dives not fall flat on his face and I thought it was a stone wall pen till I saw the replay

On that subject, Emre just got to the ball before my keeper and collapsed in a heap after his touch around the keeper. Looked brilliantly cheaty.

No pen. Booking.

The AI defence is shocking, just won my first match 5-0.

I even managed to score a volley from the edge of the box direct from a corner ala Scholes a few years back

I was wondering. 3-0 v Turkey my best score i think, and that was a slog at times.
