I'd say if it has improved the AI and graphics, both of which it does seem to have done, then it's as next gen as it should be.

Defensive corner, cleared to about 10 yards outside my penalty area. Picked up by Henry. Dash up the pitch, skip past 3 defenders before slotting it past the goalie.

A crowd that actually reacts well to the action? It's all part of the football experience. Again though, perhaps not next-gen, just laziness on Konami's part.

nah, nearly always play with music on anyway, seems a bit unfair to call actually bothering with the AI for once and doing less superficial crap lazy. you're right about the master league though, definitely needs a big overhaul. has there been any info released about it? i presume it's just going to be the same again.

Tbf, we've no idea about the sound at this stage really, as it's clearly been left out of the demo. The animations are spot on as ever, which is all i really want to be very good from the graphics, as that does affect gameplay.

And the crowd do react for once. Watch them during a replay, they sit down normally, you'll see some get up when you have a chance, and all start celebrating if you score (in your own fans ofc).

Considering you never actually look at them really, it's more of an effort than needed tbh.
