although it obviously depends where the defenders are, I usually play chip through balls when the opposition defence are high up the pitch and I've just played a one two pass with the guy who's now running.

but like I said, chip through ball generally went much too far forward

I was agreeing with you completely about it not working until you got to how it didnt work... from ALL my experience fo trying it in PES6, the chipped through ball would always get over the defenders... the problem was it would nearly always sail MILES ahead of the runner and frequently right through to the keeper.
I use chipped through balls all the time in PES6 and most of the time they come off and my winger is through clear of the defence then it's just a good cross and the striker is unmarked in the middle as the left back and near side defender usually come across to get him.

Yeah, the success for chip balls is very low in Pro6, but it does feel awesome when it comes off

I remember doing a few with Raul and RVN, but the best one was Sami Hyypia playing Craig Bellamy through for him to slot it into the bottom corner.

Although ISS Pro Evo 2 on the PS1 seemed to have it done well all those years ago tbf.
You'll be happy then. Aside from the goalies, as i've only seen a few. Dida seems garbage though, so wp Konami.

The review thing.....well the game hasn't changed massively, so i think that'll be the criticism aimed at it. Fact is, the main new features are something that's going to become apparent over time playing. Not a few days then a review.

Basically, reviews from people who don't gaf about PES will be lukewarm. Reviews from people who love PES, especially the WE series from a few years back will adore it.

oh, I agree that with wingers they work very well. can frequently get him clear with a chipped through ball, especially if you time it with the full back stepping up using the radar.

but I was just saying chipped through balls for strikers are nigh on entirely useless

Just seen the camera angle for saving penalties, that's unusual.

Actually you are right I was not being specific enough chipped through balls to wingers works all the time tbf, it's chipped through balls to the strikers that is the problem on pes6. They were either majorly overhit as Acou said (especially by the AI I find) or dont get off the ground and just hit the last defender despite the passer being nowhere near the defender at the time.

I heard someone describe it as VERY gay as you're looking up the goalies ass, so take that as you want!
