Is it just me or do the AI goalkeepers like throwing the ball to the opposition?

Just had a bash on the PC Demo and my first question is "What are the controls?"

Mine come up as a 360 pad on screen so I couldn't alter the config. I managed to figure out pass, long pass, sprint and shoot but it was pretty annoying.

Anyway, beat Portugal 2-1 as Argentina.

Scored a sublime goal that was a series of flukes. Riquelme peeling off to the left side of midfield and split the defence with a world class through ball which found Messi darting in from the right. Messi strides in clean through. Chooses to cut back and skin Jorge Andrade for the sake of it before sliding it past Ricardo

Almost scored an absolute screamer later on in the game. Heinze hoofs a free kick up which Crespo takes on the chest whilst turning, One bounce, WALLOP! Ball goes screaming towards the top corner only for Ricardo to fist it over at full stretch. Looked ruddy class.

So again, What are the controls?

Aren't they exactly the same as normal (assuming you're using a Playstation pad).

Ok, so it looks crap on my PC but the gameplay seems alright. Either the AI has actually been improved or I've gotten loads worse from not having played for a while. It does seem a *little* fast but that's easily corrected - nowhere near the hype it was getting on Evo-Web. Doesn't become an arcade game just because it's a little fast. Yet to score a goal /o\

Anyone else notice that the FPS drops significantly whilst watching replays? They're virtually useless to me atm.

Played 2 games so far. Struggling to get any decent passes using triangle. Quite often ends up passing straight to their feet, which slows up any attack. Free kicks from defensive positions are still poor. At times, you've got a choice of punt it forward or pass it to the nearest opposition player. You still can't run away from defenders even if you're controlling a quick player, eg. Ronaldo or Henry. Can give them a couple of yards and they'll either chase you down or pull you back and get away with it.

Had 2 ridiculous moments in the second game. Lost the ball while in control of Henry at the halfway line. Chased the Spanish player back, got right next to him and slid in. The Spanish player nicked it past me and I fouled him, about 25-30 yards out. Henry was sent off. He still had the whole defence to beat. Still went on to score twice before Xavi hit a slow shot to the near post, which Coupet decided to dive past, letting the ball go in.

AI has been massively improved Silv. It's something that has gone beyond all the little criticisms i've seen, and everyone that isn't just monging out over the pace has noticed.

Through passes have been changed for the better mike. You can't just use them and expect a player to run on to every one, you have to properly pick your moments for a through ball.
