Far slower than the current PC game. And why are you reading a section of Evo-Web that isn't the Editing Forum?

Basically, Fifa have gone the complete opposite way and the game is sluggish, barely moves and dull. That apparently equates to 'realism' in some eyes.

None of the football games ever realised have been anything approaching realistic. PES 2008, from the demo, has the best AI in any football game released. Easily. It's faster than the 360 version was, and had to be as that was a dire slog to play. The 'flow' of the game is the best since WE7 as the AI actually looks to build moves and counter when you're attacking.

Ball physics and animations are spot on as ever. They haven't really touched those. Shooting and passing tweaked for the better, especially the through ball which now can't be used just to pass your way through the opposition with no effort.

All evo-web does now is provide a home for people to go 'OMG PES sucks' and continue to do this until the next version comes out, so they can buy that, and play it for 12 months whilst complaining about how they hate it.

And i've not really understood the 'arcadey' label thesedays. Always thought it meant easy and over the top, and as jerleat mentioned a piece of pish to score.

Was about to say that too. The game will be adjusted in a thousand different ways by muppets like PLF who are certain they will one day be employed as technical director at the Brasilian FA.

tbf, the AI was pretty bad in PES6...hopefully improved for 08 :thup:

Too fast? If anything its slower than PES6

It was, never argued that case. It's been overhauled completely as I said. First time I remember them ever stating they were concentrating on this area, and they have.

Long and short, however good the AI is, we're all going to get to a stage where we dominate it. Same with almost any game out there.

Slower than the PC version, a little quicker than the 360 one imo.

All irrelevant. It's fun now, and the actual flow of the game in the passing and movement is great.

My lack of dribbling skills really showing up in this version. got around that by over passing in pes6 but can't in this version.

scored one goal with kaka doing some awful boring looking dribbling, i'll post the video later.
