Much as I just whinged about it, it's something that probably only needs a little bit of tweaking. I find that, the vast majority of the time I want an overlapping run to happen, it does. The way I play just seems to be conducive to it, with lots of holding the ball up.

Keep saying that Konami need boards like here. Not sure where they get the ideas from that people want muddy shorts and sweaty tops ahead of decent defenders.

Having said that I'd probably end up banned after immediately after every game I play.

Who says it's the "real deal"?

Some people want the PS3 some the xbox360. There is no right or wrong answer, and considering SWOS appears to be a 360 exclusive, then he'd be pretty stupid to buy a PS3 too.

Hopefully this game irons out some of the flaws with the AI which made this game great.

It was such a firm favourite when it had no real names or kits, we all loved it because the game was good but now with each version they head towards the game being more Fifa like which turned us onto PES in the first place.

A lot of my gripes with the game have already been mentioned by others so i wont repeat them. Although the fullback standing side by side with your winger when you want him to make an overlapping run does annoy me no end.

Two people on the same team so good in because you have your mate making the runs you want the AI to make but yet so bad because he isnt half as good as me so it pains me everytime my brilliance creates something for him to mess it up.

If it's just Winning Eleven/PES you're concerned about, PS3 might be the way to go because it's region-free and Sony seem to be less concerned than Microsoft when it comes to saved games/option files trading.

I have just bought a PS2 off a mate solely for Pro Evo, as I didnt like playing it on my old XBOX. Which version of it is the best to get? I wanna be able to update it with this seasons teams, will I be able to do that on PS2?

There are loads they can improve on the 360, gameplay wise and AI wise. Also hopefully the next version will have a 2v2 option.
