Counter: 0-2.
Just about their second shot at goal as well. I think we'll need to revert back to the beta patch |

1-2... nope. Off side. Correct decision. Seconds after, the ref whistles for the so manieth 'attacking foul'. Hunter has enough and mouths him off. Yellow. Where there were no yellows for several professional fouls by NAC. Tut tut. All in all, the ref is OK, but he's a bit scared of making tough decisions.

NAC calmly defending, looking for the counter. Ajax attack harmless, can't dribble nor pass the ball into the danger area.
We need some of that infamous luck...

Another counter, shot from some distance: 0-3.
Embarassing...
Oh dear, cue supporters breaking some stuff in Amsterdam tonight, not to mention another outbreak of fury versus the board and the chairman.
Hunter 1-3, way, way too late.

Ajax show faith in Vermaelen
Thomas Vermaelen has been given a two-year contract extension by AFC Ajax, keeping him at the Amsterdam club until 2012.
Injury
The 22-year-old Belgium defender made his Ajax debut in February 2004 and after a loan to RKC Waalwijk the following season returned to become an Ajax regular, although he has been out since September due to torn ankle ligaments. Ajax technical director Martin van Gaal said: "We expect Thomas back in January. But we have so much faith in his quality that we are very happy to commit him to Ajax for a longer period." Vermaelen, who has won one Eredivisie, two Dutch Cups and three Dutch Super Cups at Ajax, added: "I'm very happy with this development - to play for Ajax for many years to come and to win honours."

Salcido agrees new PSV deal
Carlos Salcido has followed the example set by Ibrahim Afellay by extending his contract with PSV Eindhoven.
'Very happy'
The 27-year-old Mexican international centre-back has extended his contract by two years until the summer of 2012 on improved terms. Salcido joined PSV in 2006 from Mexico's CD Guadalajara and has developed into a key player for the Dutch champions, captaining the side in the absence of Timmy Simons. "We are very happy with this," PSV general director Jan Reker said. "Again this proves we want to keep our important boys at PSV for a long time."
Afellay commits
Netherlands international Ibrahim Afellay, 21, signed a new contract at PSV on Tuesday, committing to the club he joined aged nine until summer 2011. PSV lead the Eredivisie by two points from AFC Ajax. They need a win in their final UEFA Champions League Group G game at home to FC Internazionale Milano next Wedensday, coupled with a draw or a defeat for Fenerbahçe SK at home against PFC CSKA Moskva, to reach the knockout phase.
