Iniesta > Ronaldinho in terms of fitting into Barcelona's team
but Cesc is definitely better
Ronaldinho is capable of fitting into the team, has done with great success in the past. He just isn't playing well anymore, doesn't run past people all the time like he used to.

Iniesta more exciting than Xavi, although not sure if Xavi's one of those players who does lots of good work that goes unnoticed. Haven't noticed
But from what I've seen this season I'd say Iniesta's a far better player than Xavi at the moment.
though I don't think I'm a tactical guru by any means, I don't think that Xavi performs tasks that go unnoticed to such an extent that he is comparable to Iniesta.

Iniesta's an under-rated player and one of the greatest midfield players in the world at the moment. But you'd have to say that the form of Fabregas this season eclipses Ini's, he's been a crucial part of an Arsenal team that's already achieved a lot this season, whereas Barcelona have been quite average at times away from home.
achieved what exactly? </BLOCKQUOTE>
About as much as you can have achieved at this stage of the season really. Four points clear at the top after being fairly unfancied and having lost Henry. Although Henry wasn't anywhere as important to them last year as he had been previously. </BLOCKQUOTE>
They've beaten teams they should have, that's all, admittedly they've played some really good football but when it matters, against United/Liverpool they've drawn. Oh and I've said for ages they'd be better without Henry, ask Senegal.

both great midfielders. cesc because i'm a gunner.
xavi > ineista anyway.
quite intrigued by this assessment, given that I disagree wholeheartedly.
what's your reasoning, if you don't mind? </BLOCKQUOTE>
i followed barca as long as i have arsenal, for me xavi is a great playmaker. iniesta is great as i said, but i would prefer xavi with deco and toure for his overall defensive/attacking qualities. if you need a goal from the bench, iniesta is your man.

So... Ronaldinho to Boro? Or was that discussed somewhere?

tbh, i could have gone either way. </BLOCKQUOTE>
as a Barça supporter, I can't have Xavi, Deco, and Toure all in front of Iniesta (unless you're going Iniesta/Messi/Henry or Eto'o).
Fabregas hasn't been on top form this season, the fact that he's scoring now masking some subdued performances. It's excellent that he's contributing so much, but he's definitely capale of playing better.
I've only watched the Espanyol game this season for Barca, so I can't comment on Iniesta.
