love how gav keeps using 'comin book tv" like it should excuse bad tv.
the problem with the second season hasn't been the pacing. the first season's pacing was hardly breakneck. the problem has been laziness - nothing but. making mohinder/peter/matt/ali/noah/claire all idiots to varying degrees in order to advance individual plot points. having characters repeat almost identical storylines as if they never learned/experienced anything from season 1...
another problem has been that some of the characters have just become too famn powerful for their own good. i cannot tink of a situation or a person on the planet that peter cannot overcome. yet that doesn't provide good drama. you need danger to characters that (you hope) your viewers have become emotionally attached to. some things really weren't thought out at all...

Not thought out at all? Loeb has said on several occasions that he has the first three volumes penned, has done since before production on volume one began. I'm not trying to excuse bad TV, what I'm saying is that sometimes comics do not make for good TV, and this is still being written like a comic. It's the first show to be like this, so of course there will be issues getting the right balance. The "romance" scenes in particular are an indication of this.

Yeah, haven't posted much as it's gone a bit meh for me, much like Prison Break. That beign said, I thought last week's episode was on a par with the good season one stuff. This week back to people like Mohinder just seeming so easily led. Don't get it. But I'll keep watching as stuff like last week are just excellent.

Yeah mohinder being so stupid kinda angers me, the character had so much more potential than has been shown so far.

The 360 stuff is, I believe, trying to show that Mohinder might be depressed, or at least becoming a little unhinged, mostly be memories and guilt of his sister, which could go some way to describe his rather odd behavior the last little while. He seems to be almost rambling at times with his posts on his father's website, going off on weird tangents. Or at least I hope it's intentional by the author.

Main issue I have is Parkmen, Hiro and Claire's dad aside, I can't say I care much for the characters currently. Certainly not the daft Hispanic girl, certainly not Nikki and her family, Lightening girl looks a stonewall converter to the "good side", and the copycat girl just seems bland.
See, I don't even take notice of their names. That's how little I'm bothered when it deviates from the three I mentioned above.
I remain hopeful though. Don't think it's as bad as some make out, but I really enjoyed season 1 and I don't find myself in a rush to watch the latest episode with season 2.

They chose ethics over intelligence. That never makes for an interesting character.

Really they should never have split them all up again this season, best part of season one for was them getting closer and closer to each other then finally meeting at the end. Them being all over the place again this season plus the drawn out stories just made it seem like season one has been remade just with a different core story.
Nothing has really moved on.

| Even if that is the case, it's a fairly flawed approach to what is essentially, a tv show. If an argument is presented which suggests a lack of continuity on the tv show, and the only comeback to that is 'ah, well, it's explained in the 360 stuff', the natural reaction for your average viewer is, I suspect, likely to be 'well, **** it then, I can't be arsed trawling all over the internet to make the show make any sense, I'll just stop watching'. And then it all ends.
