I don't agree with the point that it should all go in one thread, is my main point. Some people don't get involved with the extra stuff - as essential or important as it may or may not be - and only follow the TV show, so having it all together is inevitably going to spoil and/or confuse it for them (the majority). Hence I think a seperate thread for 360 discussion is wise.

Heh, next you'll argue that we shouldn't talk about the TV show either, as some folk might not be up to date and we might spoil it for them.
The sooner folks realise that some shows are not exclusive to the television medium the better.

See the problem is with people seeing it as a TV show. Because, ultimately, it isn't really a TV show.
It's actually a comic book. Using various different mediums to try and bring the story to life that fall outside of conventional comic book story telling. The TV show is just the main representation of this.

stupid and irrelevant first point there Gav and you know it.
it isn't really a tv show
anyway, I made no suggestion that I feel the extras are irrelevant. however you are the minority, and that's why it's only fair that the extra stuff is kept seperate. imo.

We'll need a new emoticon for this time next year, I have a feeling I'm going to need it.
And yeah, chuckle Stu, but it's not a TV show. Kring and Loeb have said so on multiple occasions. It's a multi-media experience.

It's what you make of it, and most people view it as a TV show only and still get huge enjoyment, they're not missing out. Heroes isn't the massive hit it is because of the multi-media experience. If the show was inexplicably cancelled, you reckon all the other stuff would carry on as popular? Of course it wouldn't.
Like I've said before, anything that leaves you any smugger than you already are is either going to be a) largely irrelevant or b) so relevant it baffles the TV-only viewers, which isn't going to happen. I can't see a scenario where the multi-media platform can claim some kind of 'victory' over the TV show alone?

Nice tunnel vision Stu
The TV show only fans will experience two several month long breaks over the next two years. The multi-media viewers will get more than six months worth of extra content which will be, and I quote, "the content on the sites isn't fluff; it's real and important to the show." Loeb has gone on record twice now as saying that over the next two years information vital to the story will be released via the other mediums, with no guarantees it will be relayed via the show too.
I'd guess one of the reasons for this is to attempt to drive up viewing figures for the other medias, for advertising purposes. Nissan have full page adverts in the graphic novels atm, and expect a lot more advertisers via the various others over time.
