Anyway, I have been a bit quiet on how I have been doing lately. I moved up to the $100 max buyin nl party games. I must say they are pretty good pickings.
People just love trying to catch you on a bluff or make a move on you for a medium sized pot. I didn't quite notice it at 50nl but now it is pretty evident. I have had a nice few sessions recently somwhere around $100-500 profit each session. I haven;t played a great deal of hands yet so that fluctuation is bound to go down.
I would recommend you try out the nl cash games on party. They seem so fishy that as long as you are a solid player, you will show a profit at them. Start off at $25nl and work your way up.
My other recommendation is if you play for cash fixed, pl or nl you really should invest in pokertracker. I had a bad streak the other week and reading an article on pt and using it allowed me to fill in massive holes I didn't know was there.
Current reading material atm is Supersystem 2. Just starting the Mike Caro section so will see how it goes.
How has everybody else been getting on, in particular the cash game players?

Anyone watch Ultimate Poker Challenge on Challenge tv? That young kid seems to make the final table every week. He's either brilliant, very lucky or the field is very small.

I imagine my no limit game will have gone downhill a lot recently. I've become so addicted to limit that I've had to loosen up a lot compared with my no limit game...It'd probably take a few rotations to get back into the general tightness necessary for no limit.
But I'm quite happy with poker....made another $1000 cashout a few days ago bringing by bankroll back down to just over $1000...net +$3000. Not bad considering I've not invested a penny of my own money...next time (/if) I get up to $2000 though I think I'll keep move up limits instead of cashing out.

I can't empahise enough how much pokertracker will improve your game. Not having it is itself a huge hole in your game imo. Its only $55 which considering it will probably make you hundreds if not thousands (depending on your limits) is an absolute bargain.
Yes I sound like a salesman but you got to believe me !

It works with pacific if you let it auto request the hands and set it to read your inbox.
I think that GT+ also works with that set up.

I have been watching the live feed on game-in tv of the prima network. It keeps me company at night when I am playing. The commentators are alright as well.
They want to get the big nl cash games shown on there. Now that would be interesting.
Using PT and software called Gametime+ which overlays peoples stats (Think VPIP etc) I have been able to play 2-3 tables a lot more confidently.
I need to work on my limit game. I was able to make a profit at .5/1 but when I went to 1/2 I didn't do very well. Hopefully the limit section in SS2 will help me out. Even though I really enjoy no limit, I want to do well all round, not just in one area if I can.

Are you sure? Pacific doesn't email out hand histories, you get them with their poker client.
