yeah...totally agree there. Reahced 640/1280 blinds on a table with 10000 chips on it a couple of times heads up. Played one of those yesterday and went all-in every single hand heads up. I guess at worst barring high pairs, I should be no worse than 40-60 and a couple of folds and I'm looking down at a stack three times the size of his, rather than a third the size.

It's a crapshoot, yeah...but I think my strategy must not be far off the best way to play. With lower blinds (320/640) I do use some discretion.

Earlier on, the games are JUST long enough to allow you to take some kind of hit and recover.

Of course, I'm not convinced the aggressive strategy will work as well at $10 tables even...let alone $20

I'm watching the delectable Vicky Coren on her poker chat show on TPC right now. To be honest, it's a bit crap. Her guests are seemingly trying to be duller than each other. She livened it up a bit with this comment though:

"There's threats, violence, dealer abuse, hookers, drugs....I think this stuff is all great."

First watch of Poker Godfather. Some Joe was helped in a $300 MTT on a Prima site by Irish pro player Rory Liffey. It was an interesting watch. Leffey got his student playing a very aggressive game, which enabled him to steal plenty of pots, and got him action when he had a hand. But still he made what i considered to be mistakes. Betting 1200 from his 4200tc when in the bb, into a 1500 pot on a complete bluff when the other guy had limped/check/check/checked struck me as being a stupid play. The other guy had five times as many chips as our heros, and he's going to call with anything. And he did.

To Serpico, do you know the last name of Piranha on PSO? I know his first names Bill and he's around 70 years old, just so happens there was a guy that lost heads up who was around 70 and named Bill. Coincidence? Probably.
