I was going to just say my $5 SNG thing seems to be going well. Got some massive spreadsheet downloaded from somewhere which allows me to keep track...

So far, I've got in the money 11 times out of 23 (bubbled 3 times too) which is an in the money %age of 47.8. More pleasing is that I've won 5 of the 11 I've got in the money in (2nd twice, 3rd 4 times) which gives me a "return of investment" of 54.2%. I'm led to believe this is supposed to be nearer 25%.

Dare say those stats will go down (its early days for sure), but I'm just under the $100 mark now from starting with $25

The last 5 or 6 weeks have been dreadful for me, poker-wise. It hasn't mattered whether it was a cash game or a tourney, it was always money down the drain. The best I did in this period was breaking even. So I played more FM and less poker, then even more FM and even less poker, so it got to the point where I've only been playing 4 or 5 times a week, mostly the odd unsuccessful tourney.

Then yesterday I played a couple of short sessions of 3/6 and ended up by $40 maybe. After the previous weeks this felt good.

Then late last night, after finishing our FM clan session I joined a $3/6 table to see if I could increase that $40 daily profit. And for the first time ever I got hit by the deck. Almost every hand I played I hit, and not only that, I got paid. I sat down with $200 and left three hours later when the table broke with $720. If the table hadn't broken I'd still be there.

More tables like this please!

A lot of sites SnGs turn into too much of a crap-shoot with the way the blinds go stratospheric, so you have to be careful where you play if you want to try this method.

Yeah they do, ladbroke's Omaha tales almost always are a crapshoot by the time you go heads up.

Robert you should try Bet365.com, they run a few freeroll tournies every day. Good for practice if your a bit of a noob like myself.

I got my fist money finish last friday, finished 179th out of 9000 odd. Won a whopping $1.50 :cool:
