Don't know if any of you guys have already seen this posted elsewhere but its a good puzzle.

Assuming, in a 10 handed game, that everyone stays to the river what is the worst possible 5 card hand that can win the pot.

Condition: the pot must not be split.

There are 5 community cards.

In my head I've worked out Q-high. Although J-high might be possible by rearranging some of the players hands. I'd need a piece of paper to work it out properly and, tbh, I can't be bothered.

Ok, you have got 2, 4, 6, 7 and 9 on the community.

You now need 20 cards to make up the hands for all 10 players.

Count out the 5's as they would make a straight.

Therefore you have got:

4 x 3's
4 x 5's
4 x 8's
4 x 10's
4 x J's to make the 20.

Now, in order for a split pot not to happen, someone has to have J10, J8, J5 and J3. Therefore the J10 would win the pot with a Jack high.

the flop is then dealt...the only reason betting would go back to player 2 is if anyone who betted after him were to raise it to more than £2
