I played on poker pages for the first time today

I won one hand with a straight (to 8) :cool:

But that was the only hand I won

But i was still getting used to the options etc, so once I acclimatise i'll be more use :cool:

Been a bit bored lately, the extent of my playing has been about 4 SnGs on ladbrokes and a couple of freerolls. Think I might have a couple days off and see how it is then.

Folded a set of sixes to 2 fish who capped a 3 flush board with two pair and bottom pair respectively.

A-7 suited, flop comes A-Q-7 against one opponent who'd limped in pre-flop (so I didn't put him on AQ). He makes a stab at the pot, I presume he has A with medium kicker, but certainly not two pair. Can't say I see a huge amount wrong here. You got the money in with him having to hit 3 outs to win which makes you want 86:14 favourate? You're going to have to double up at some point.

Althought If I had a criticism its that your thinking (at least what you posted) doesn't even consider a set which is always a possibly when people limp preflop

I've been playing low limits hold-em on pacific and party for a few months now. Starting with the pacific $10 bonus I've turned that into $1600 (i got incredibly lucky at the start).

However the general consensus on the 2 + 2 forums (if you don't frequent these already google them now, it will do your game wonders) seems to be that a good no limit player can make more than a good limit player. You guys mainly seem to play no limit SnGs and tournies, how much are you winning on average per month and what are you're bankrolls like?

started playing for money on pacific. Play a couple of games a day and make $10. Not much but it's better than nothing! I find that I'm only good at the "Sit & Go" tourney games though...

ive doubled me stake on poker now, started with £1000 and after intially being very bad i went down to £600 now back up to £2000
