Finally won my first heads up in live play. Go down to the final 3 playing 1 (one) hand and doubling up against a loose player with a flush draw. Then I went on the offensive, stole about 7 consecutive blinds and when one of the players played back I had pocket Js against his 88. They held up to give me a decent chip lead going into heads up. My opponent managed to hit two straights early on both of which I was happy to get out of without losing to many chips. The second one was particually nasty with me holding the ignorant end and he holding the top end. That left us roughly level. However a few hands later he slowplayed two pair and let me hit a gutshot straight he then promtly went all in allowing me to call with the nuts. £50 to me and a hell of a lot of relief as well.

Sufficed to say 2 things seem to tilt me: 1. me playing some hand in a way I perceive as poorly. 2. People hitting ridiculous hands that are massive massive underdogs. (Note: 2 bad beats I've posted in this thread....in both I've been a 98% favourite)...hardly a "stupid" amount of bad beat stories.
If you find it boring, don't read the poker thread. hth.

So, I was just on a pacific 1/2 table with 8h 7h in LP1. It was an extra loose passive table so i was planning on limping....but surprisinlgy everyone up to me folded leading to me folding too.
Flop: 5h 6h 9h
Speaking as someone who's never had a straight flush:
D'OH!

You can take solace in the fact that most of the big sites random shuffling are dependent on many factors around the table, like number of people in hand. So if you called the flop would have been completely differant.

| And you base this on what? The millions of hands worth of data you've analysed to discover a bias in the RNG's used by "most" big sites?

I quite fancy the "play a home game with Barny" feature though. And five hours a night of coverage of the British Open sounds fb.
