Kigsy, bad-beats are why you make your money. If everyone played faultless poker, the only people who would win would be the casino owners. Everytime you lose to a 10 to 1 shot just remember that 9 times out of 10 your opponent pays you for his bad play.Giving a little back every now and then is only polite. It keeps them coming back.

Cheers Serpico, i know what your saying alright its just the beats emptied my (limited) bankroll. It can be soo frustrating though last hand i played last night i got caught with a set by a runner-runner(?) straight.

If a bad beat emptied your bankroll then you are playing way above what you should.

Either stick to freerolls till you are ready to lose a bit and not moan or put some proper cash in and get on with it.

unfortunitly Anton there was more than one Plus my bankroll was v small cos im broke and for some stupid reason i decided to play NL when i should be sticking to limit only.

All said advice taken on board and i now plan on playing as many freroll tounaments as possible until im a bit more comfortabe with the strategies. (only prob is most freeroll tournaments seem to be NL)

Yes. AAJTds makes the same nut flushes as AAKQds, but can make more straights. Personally I'd take AAJTds over AAKK, but you wouldn't really sneeze at either...

The thing I love about Omaha (although tbf I only play it in very crappy low stakes games!) is the number of players who will never raise pre-flop, except when they've got AA in their hand, when they'll put in a pot size raise. Beautiful, totally flags their hand and you can call them with anything because if you happen to nail the flop you can clean them out because they mostly bet the pot again after the flop, no matter what's on the board and some of them just won't get away from the hand.

Though they still have two unknown cards, a recent hand I played against AAxx and a preflop raise. I liked my KQJx, even more after the flop of T98. The AAxx bet the pot and I raised all-in and get called. His other cards were TT and an 8 on the turn loses me my stack of about $130.
