It was the first day of the final event. I've seen most of the others but not the final yet. Should be a laugh watching pokermats running around screaming DAAAAAAAAAA!

oooo...new thread, but I missed the first page /o\

Haven't played much online in recent weeks, had a win on a SNG at Ladbrokes, $10+$1 a couple of weeks ago though. No great shakes but it is evidence that my game is improving, but once again I only seem to win when I get to a short stacked position on the bubble. Think it might be because I am going less cautious on my hands and playing some marginal ones that I would ordinarily fold. This seems to throw the other players as I think they mark me as tight player and so they think I must have a good hand (AA or AKs) if I'm playing it.

Off to a casino tonight for a mates birthday, they have Jackpot Stud Poker which is basically playing against the house. Anyone tried it? Is it worth playing or should I just stick to the roulette and blackjack?

iirc he went out with a bit of a whimper though, had a really quiet day on the day he was eliminated </BLOCKQUOTE>

He went out a few hands into the final table AK vs AT, so not much to DAAAAAA! about there.

The first sign that I was probably too tired to play last night was when I entered a No Limit SnG instead of the Limit SnG on Paradise Poker.

So I had my first ever game of No Limit last night and despite being tired came 3rd on the table, so I made my stake and a little bit extra back.

My question is what no limit books would people recommend, because it's quite a different game to Limit strategy wise and I think I might like to get into it a bit more.

NL tournaments do you mean or NL cash games?

For tournies you should already have a copy of tourney poker for advanced players by Sklansky.

Well, for Limit I have found the SnGs to be the best earner for me, so I'd imagine I'd be doing the same thing for No Limit.

I'm not good enough to finish in the high places in the tournaments, so I can make more money playing 2 SnG tournaments in two hours than finishing in the low-paying places in one multi-table tourney.

I thought it was a D too.

Don't agree that he made an arse out of himself though. He merely showed some emotion, which is hardly surprising given he was outplaying some of the best poker players in the world in the biggest competition he'd ever played in by miles.

I thought the commentators (well one of them to be fair) gave him a really hard time for his celebration, but then he gave everyone who wasn't a yank a hard time.
