After 70 million or so ps2 sales it will be hardly a surprise to see it outsell both the wii and 360.
Anyway no doubt everyone will buy 3 or so ps3's after breaking every other year |

Depends what they mean by win I guess. If they just mean total units shifted, then it's not that big a claim really. They've got Japan sewn up, so even if the US and Europe is closer, they'll still shift tons more units overall.
In terms of overall quality of games etc, then it'll be interesting.

Anyway no doubt everyone will buy 3 or so ps3's after breaking every other year | Grand Theft Auto III, GTA Vice City and GTA San Andreas basically sold the PS2 on it's own. I remember when GTA III first came out and I decided to buy a PS2 to play it, it took me a month to find somewhere that had a PS2 in stock as they couldn't keep up with the demand.
Losing the exclusivity of the GTA series will be a huge blow for PlayStation and possibly one that they might not be able to recover from.

for me,
i'd think i will get the ps3 when within my budget and when it is of a high enough urge to get it.
don't play that much of ps2 now anyway. most time is why mates come over rather then by myself.
