i think ninty will easily sell out the wii on launch day, coupled with ps3 not launching til much later and the good press the wii has already got/going to get after it sells out on launch then ninty could be onto a real winner here.

one of the reasons (probably the main one) for the delay is sony are struggling to meet the production demand due to a shortage of blu ray lasers.
