Yeah but everyone expected Sony to come out with a decent pricing policy...they didn't. First time actually where Sony came out with a higher price then people were expecting.
Depending on how much of a loss Sony are taking on the console...the consumer will be expected to pick up some of the difference...as usual.
Looks to me like Sony will ride Blue-Ray "future-proof format and value for money bla bla" sales pitch till the cows come home.
Because certainly anyone buying a PS3 is not paying for a games machine in essence...the bulk of the cost people are stumping up for is for Blue-Ray that Sony has bundled with it...which essentially has nothing to do with gaming.Oh how I wish Sony had just given us a games machine...
