Actually, talking about level 6 cars got me thinking.

I've currently got these car levels:

Chassis: 6
Engine: 5
F Wing: 5
R Wing: 5
Underbody: 6
Sidepods: 7
Cooling: 7
Gearbox: 5
Brakes: 6
Suspension: 7
Electronics: 6

Now I'll be planning to upgrade the level 5 parts up to 6 as soon as they need replacing - but after that I'm a bit stuck. Not sure whether I could handle upgrading to level 7 financially. Any tips on maintaining a higher level car, or is it just the usual? I'm hoping I should get better results this season which should result in more race income and faster sponsor negotiations.

Will that be enough of a financial increase to help me maintain the car?

Had to downgrade my wings to 4 last season just to finish the race and get the cash i needed to stay up . Going to take at least 6 races before i can get them back up to 6

Well I think some of us have varying opinions on this?

San for example will say NEVER EVER downgrade, and ALWAYS upgrade at every given opportunity. To be fair to him - he has an awesome car and has somehow managed to keep afloat - but god knows how (I think he's been bribing the admins).

Myself on the other hand, preferred to give myself forced restrictions in amatuer. I decided not to go above level 6 for engine and gears, level 7 for wings, but then upgraded everything else as far as possible. This way as way able to maintain my car, whilst also saving for the expensive days later in the season when your engine and gears need changing at the same time!!!

I'm sure everyone has their own thoughts though...

Yeah, I had tried to limit myself to a Level 6 car last season but as I wasn't getting good results, it just became too tricky. And with only 1 sponsor I just wasn't making enough cash.

This season I'll probably try and do the same and just hope that I can get another sponsor quickly and that better results / qualifying will help me pay my way!

Well looks like im onto a winner Only decided to get him as some rookie came from nowhere to start winning races at the back end of last season.

Well looks like i got to start preparing myself for master. My car levels are all over the place from level 5-7 so hopefully i can bring that up to a solid 7 and get some sponsers in. Im in a similar situation to Semi Skilled really. Just need some good sponsers. Only 10% away from a 1.1mil contract for 22 races which is a start.

The issue with that aargument is that he might ahve had the same or similar stamina levels all along whilst other elites have been training theirs.

I really dread to think what stamina the likes of laugalis, Iorga et al's drivers have - I seem to remember Totev's being on the market with 160 or so. So we're probably talking about 170-180 for the top elites by now.
