Not saying they're not good fighters, just that they don't neccessarily deserve all the hype that surrounds them.
As for having 100% records. Mayweather in particular has been getting hand picked fighters for years to allow him to move up in divisions without any problems. If you have a situation where for the most part you're getting fighters that'll make you look good as opposed to fighters who'll cause you problems, then it can make all the difference.
A fitter, younger De La Hoya would have beaten Mayweather. De La Hoya caused Mayweather problems, but just didnt have the stamina to keep it going the entire fight.
