Did anyone see Mayweather's coach saying they might try middleweight next? If they're that cocky, why not go for super-middleweight? i'd like nothing better than to see Calzaghe lay the f****r out.
| ffs you people are delusional. </BLOCKQUOTE>
P**s off, I'm under no illusion that Mayweather would ever fight Calzaghe, it was a light-hearted comment, I'm aware he won't go above middleweight. </BLOCKQUOTE>
I'm laughing more at calzaghe knocking him out. calzaghe's biggest "name" ko is manfredo ffs. he decisioned lacy, bika and kessler. he's become a slapper, I didn't see a single punch even faze kessler.
let's see him finally leave britain and fight anybody before you little islanders start talking about him getting sonned by the best pound for pound fighter out there right now. </BLOCKQUOTE>
Doesn't matter if he's the best pound for pound fighter in the world, he'd be stepping up 2 weight divisions, fighting the 4th best pound for pound fighter in the world, he'd get bent over and have his arse tickled. </BLOCKQUOTE>
This guy is probably Welsh?
Calzaghe is :thdn: for me. Yeah he's gritty, has heart, lot of determination, great stamina but he really has no class whatsoever. 2 of his last 4 opponents have been on the contender ffs and he's in his advancing years and he wants to fight the big fights so he says. Yet when it comes to a proper big name ala Hopkins, Warren makes a shitty excuse that fighting Hopkins will get him nowhere, so instead he will go and fight Clinton ****ing Woods.

3) amir khan is still basically a nobody
all of those things basically undeniable fackt.
| 1) is correct, but who has the class and speed of mayweather?
2)Joe always done whats asked of him, why should a 10 year champion leave home? Nice to see Hopkins is dodging him now, none of the americans want any of him, when hes clearly said he will fight in America now. Unified his division with Kessler his biggest fight.
3) 17 year old english-asian, olympic silver medalist, how was the media supposed to stay away from him and not build him up? I agree he has fought nobodies but hes asian so he fits nicely into a demographic.

Hopkins isn't dodging Calzaghe at all. The other way around imo. Warren has said theres no point fighting a 37 or whatever year old because he's not going to gain much out of it. Calzaghe thought Hopkins would come running to the Uk, now he's not he's shat his pants and will now try and get a fight with Clinton Woods, like I said before. Know he's got a fight which will definately be in the Uk so he's going to be all smiles.

1) if I could set a fight for hatton to get him ready for mayweather, I'd go for one of the following four, in order: zab judah (on form and motivated, I think he gives you the best approximation of mayweather), kermit cintron, andre berto, paulie malignaggi.
2) I'm not really taking anything away from joe. he makes good money fighting in europe and more power to him. however, talking about him laying out mayweather based on a couple pounds and the fact that he never leaves home is pretty dumb. should tito beat jones, I'd pay to see tito-calzaghe on neutral soil.
3) not hating on khan either, just laughing at the kid who expects me to be as caught up in the hype as he is. from the little I've seen of him, I expect juan diaz would tear his **** up.
