Trying to create synth waves with wildly varying frequencies for the sake of doing it, taking samples of things like slamming doors and people ordering food and dubbing it beyond recognition can pass off as sounding good now? eh

Ok: I think the link above sums it up for me, apparently people like to dub stuff they don't know anything about as genius whilst I'd much prefer to leave out the "genius" bit tacked to the end. Consider it anti-music, if you like.

Interviewed Avey Tare a couple of weeks back, I love Sung Tongs, Strawberry Jam and Feels but live they were awful, just...boring.

you still haven't answered rafalution's question from earlier. what do you mean by "understanding" music? i don't see how understanding music is important and i don't see how that quote (while somewhat true) backs that viewpoint up

pretty much the best band of the decade when it comes down to it
avey tare (and kria brekken)'s pullhair rubeye was absolute dogshit unfortunately. shame they reversed it because some of it is rather nice forwards
