Spurs convinced Liverpool, Man Utd want Defoe
tribalfooball.com - June 14, 2007
Tottenham are convinced they can cash in on Jermain Defoe this summer.
The Mirror says Spurs will put the squeeze on Defoe by offering the England striker a new three-year contract - and listen to offers if he does not sign.
Defoe, 24, will be offered £30,000 per week - a 22 per cent increase on his current terms under boss Martin Jol.
Tottenham will be prepared to let him go this summer so they can get at least £12million for his services - and they believe Manchester United and Liverpool would both be bidders. |
Another one for the list if he isn't already on it?

I've never heard anything better than signing a man who isnt even first choice for a club outside the big 4.
Hell he was 4th choice spurs striker when Mido wanted a contract.

| Devlin will probably play predominantly for the u16's, but Amos is out injured until late August at the earliest so i'd expect Devlin to be part of the squad at least for the first few weeks. Amos might step up to the reserves occasionally as well so Devlin will get a few chances i think.
as for Gill, nothing's been confirmed but from what I've heard he might stay with us without actually being on a scholarship, and then both parties will re-assess the situation in due course. still waiting for confirmation of that though.
