These stories that Man Utd have payed too much for Nani according to the Chelsea scout Piet de Visser are really starting to do my head in now. Who are they to talk, like they've never payed over the odds for anyone - most of their first team excluding Cech/Ballack they payed far more than market value for |

Why do you bother listening to them? hehe
It's they time to talk because all they are getting now are freebies for squad depth. Most probably next season they'll start splaing 50mil per player again.

Middlesbrough are believed to have made enquiries for Alan Smith and James Beattie.
With that the North East club are looking elsewhere and are understood to have made a bid for an 'England international', and that player is reported to be Smith.
It is not yet known whether Smith will be leaving Manchester United, but the former Leeds man seems unlikely to be offered a new deal and he has admitted that he will consider his options.
Middlesbrough are just one club thought to have shown an interest with Sunderland, Everton, Tottenham, Aston Villa, Newcastle and Rangers also linked. http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hlid=472224&CPID=8&...tle=Boro+eye+optio ns | Smith :*****(
