Right, cup dates:

Quote:
Champions League Dates:

18-19 September 2007 Group stage, 1st matchday2-3 October 2007 Group stage, 2nd matchday23-24 October 2007 Group stage, 3rd matchday6-7 November 2007 Group stage, 4th matchday27-28 November 2007 Group stage, 5th matchday11-12 December 2007 Group stage, 6th matchday21 December 2007 Draw for First knockout round19-20 February 2008 Knockout round, 1st leg4-5 March 2008 Knockout round, 2nd leg7 March 2008 Draw for remaining rounds1-2 April 2008 Quarter-finals, 1st leg8-9 April 2008 Quarter-finals, 2nd leg22-23 April 2008 Semi-finals, 1st leg29-30 April 2008 Semi-finals, 2nd leg21 May 2008 Final

so our league opponents around that:

matchday 1: before = Everton (a), after = Chelsea (h)
matchday 2: before = Birmingham (a), after = Wigan (h)
matchday 3: before = Villa (a), after = Boro (h)
matchday 4: before = Arsenal (a), after = Blackburn (h)
matchday 5: before = Bolton (a), after = Fulham (h)
matchday 6: before = Derby (h), after = Liverpool (a)

so five home games after CL matchdays which we can't really complain about. with any luck we might not arse about and instead actually bother qualifying before the last one so there's not too much riding on it before the trip to Anfield. not going to look in detail at the knockout stages for fear of tempting fate but worth noting that any potential semi-final would see both legs sandwich the trip to Stamford Bridge.

fwiw, the domestic cup dates:

[quote]FA Cup Dates

Third Round Proper Saturday 5th January 2008Fourth Round Proper Saturday 26th January 2008Fifth Round Proper Saturday 16th February 2008Sixth Round Proper Saturday 8th March 2008Semi-Finals Sat 5th/Sun 6th April 2008Final Saturday 17th May 2008

progress to the semis would mean home games with Bolton and Middlesbrough being rescheduled.

Quote:
Carling Cup Dates 2007/08

Round 3: Week commencing 24th SeptemberRound 4: Week commencing 29th OctoberRound 5: Week commencing 3rd DecemberSemi-Final, 1st Leg: Week commencing 7th January 08Semi-Final, 2nd Leg: Week commencing 21st January 08Final: Sunday 24th February 08

progress to the final would see the away game at Newcastle rescheduled.

Quagliarella basically a one-man goal of the season competition

not going to get carried away on the back of a youtube video but he looks quick, strong, good on the ball and a top finisher, not hard to see why we're apparently interested.

Where will we finish in the Premiership? 2nd
How far will we get in the CL? Quarters
How far will we get in the FA Cup? Winners
Which lower league side will we be knocked out by in the Carling Cup? Leeds
How many games will we lose in the league? 5
Who will be our top scorer? Wayne Rooney
Who will be our top assist maker? Wayne Rooney
Percentage of games Louis Saha spends on the treatment table? 50%. Brilliant start and then smash his toe while kicking the ball or something.
Who will be our manager this time next year? Carlos Queiroz
How many positions will John O'Shea play in? More than there are positions in the team - he will transcend normal tactics
Which United thread members will have left or been banned by this time next year? Ryan. Given that he continues to vainly try and fill FoobR's shoes, a banning is his destiny I reckon.

What's happening with Mamam? Obviously he won't ever play for you but is he still officially your player?

You realise he won't even play until December because he has had an op on his knee?
