After the financial success of Google, I am sure we are going to see a flood of new search engines! This one has possibilities.

http://www.Answers.com Be sure to capitalize A. It uses a different methodology. 8[ Seems very fast to me.

Opinions welcome, I have no financial stake in this one unfortunately.

What a coincidence, because believe it or not, I was thinking about that concept this week after browsing Wikipedia and Mapquest.

Wow! I tried one search just to see what the result would be for 'unsharp mask.' The quality of the answer was exactly right. A historical perspective, some technical info but not overwhelming so an intuitive understanding was possible... in one hit. This has just become my favorite information web search site. Thanks, Joy! 8))

JoeD -- WOW THANKS! I was looking for that Google local yesterday! I knew it existed but couldn't find. I will use it mucho mucho. I saw the beta demo'ed on 60 Minutes where Leslie Stahl was standing on a street corner, feigned a headache and used a connected cell phone (or maybe it was a PDA) to find a drugstore near her in NY. She found one within 2 blocks of where she was standing. They have plans to make it a price shopper too.

While we are on the subject of G, have you checked out Labs? http://labs.google.com/ -- Excellent way to search for Videos and maps and other categories
