All leagues loaded from Belgium, France and England, decided to go to Belgium and end up choosing a deligtfully named team called FC Turnhout.

Looks like my first battle is to find a scout as I don't have one, put an ad out, nobody applies all season! At least I have an ass man who tells me i need to heavily strengthen! What does he know! Start with what I have, already overspending on wages and nobody wanting any of my players, at all, for free. Season never really started, no runs to speak of. End up in 8th position.

I'm feeling cheeky and tell the board I'll go up (what was I on!). Ends up getting me no more money anyway. Upside, finally get a scout, took on the only applicant. Send him on his way and he comes back with an extremely long list (is this normal?) from which I take three on frees including an ageing AMR who looks ok. Finally get rid of some of my rubbish on frees and this takes the wage bill down slightly, still in red! Good run before Christmas, even managing holding onto 2nd spot for a whole week, before a post new year nosedive! Finish 8th.

I manage to still be in a job after not gaining promotion last year, still deep in the red.
Board - Promotion (WTF!!)

Manage to lose more faces for free and bring in two more (very) old faces. Another suprisingly good start until it all starts to go very wrong indeed. Go on a 12 match losing streak and sitting at the bottom at the start of April sees me frog marched out of the car park!
Sacked! Despite this i had more fun playing like this than ever before on FM. Glad I chose the Belgian league for my first go. Am unemployed at the moment and still deciding whether or not to wait for an offer or restart in the BSN.
