Another quick thing I have been wondering - I didn't think it was completely cleared up in the rules of LLM thread (Sorry )

1) I remember there being a rule/custom about developing tactics as you get to know your players and how they play? Does this mean you watch a few friendlies (maybe full match) and from then work out how your team could function best? Or does it mean just looking at individual stats/coach reports and devising a tactic through that? Or is it simply a mix of both?

Oh yeh and you find your staff by placing adverts right? NO NO NO to staff search? :thup:

Sorry If me asking lots of questions kinda counts as 'not being idependant'. I just want to be 100% sure when/if I start a LLM game I do it fairly.

Look at it realistically.

A manager buys a player because the scout says he's good. As the games go on, as the guy develops, then the manager would be confident enough in him...or not...to say "do this, don't do that...and if you do that I'll slap your leg!"

ChillyThomas - Staff search is a big no-no. I think the only exception to this rule is if you're getting an unrealistic response to an advert - many people playing 08 unpatched found that their adverts for scouts etc were receiving no replies for quite a few months. I believe the generally accepted convention in that regard was that if after a month or two you had still received no applicants for the position, you could use staff search. However, caution with regards to the filter would be advisable - realism is the most important thing, and IRL you wouldn't be able to instantly filter out "applicants" or in this case "targets" who lacked a certain "attribute"

Basically, maintain realism and you should be fine

Tom... LLM is not something you can turn off and on like a light. You either are or you aren't, there's no middle ground.

By all means try LLM, and see if you like playing this way. If you do, then forget about all your other games. If not, you've tried and no matter... you bought the game, you play it how you want.

If you like LLM... then stick around.
