No update on my prgress yet but I had to give a mention to Shrewsbury Town who at their lowest point saw them relegated to the Confernce in 2008. Three consecutive promotions now see them in the Premier league after being taken over by a local businessman.

An inspiration to as all, well done AI. :thup:

2022 - Vila Nova (GO)

After last years awful performance I was surprised to still be in a job come the start of the 2022 campaign, the board however aren't forthcoming with any transfer funds & my only new signings are 2 midfielders that I agreed terms with last year but only join now because they were on loan at the time.

My transfers from last season are causing all kinds of selection problems. I have 8 Bolivians who are all of 1st team quality but I'm limited to only selecting 3 per game, this is made all the more annoying as it appears only my Brazilian players pick up injuries or suspensions.

Goias State Championship

This turns out to be an absolute breeze, unbeaten in the league & knockout stage secures the Championship, worryingly we are still drawing to many games on our travels though.

Third Division

A good home form continues & we are now starting to pick up 3 points in the away games, we finish top in the first stage by 4 points, the 2nd & 3rd rounds cause are no problem with easy victories secure our spot in the final round.

Final Round - My forced rotation policy turns out to be a blessing with home games regularly being played on 40+ degree heat we're the only club that can regularly field players with fitness in the high 90%. Promotion is secured with 4 games left with the title following a game later.

Brazilian Cup Confirming this season as my best ever I guide the team to the semi finals, beating 1st division Cruzeiro & Internacional along the way. We get Sao Paulo in the semi beating them 1-0 away only to freeze in the home leg losing it 2-0, annoyingly it turns out to be our only home defeat all season.

Elsewhere: Wigan finally give up their EPL crown after West Ham secure their 1st title after 127 years of trying.(The defence is not going so well as they sit 16th after 14 games only 1 point above 18th-typical Hammers)

England manage to win 3 penalty shoot-outs in the World cup getting to the final only to be taught a lesson by the Brazilians who win their 7th title. Zambia, USA, Japan & surprisingly Argentina all join the no goals no points club.
