2021: Vila Nova (GO)

I'm really surprised to see a club of this size with such a poor history, they've had no real success in their 70+ year history. I'm either going to become a hero or looking at their manager history be back home for Christmas.

My Scouts do me proud & find a load of cheap potential in Bolivia & Chile that I immediately sign only to find out that there is a limit on foreigners that can be named on the teamsheet.

Goias State Championship

Despite the extreme squad rotation to keep all the new guys happy we qualify for the knockout stage (not that it's too difficult though as 8 out of 12 qualify), injuries help my selection problems & we reach the final only to lose to CRAC. A number of players are then sold for fees ranging from £1k to £1.5m, with a total of £1.7m is allowed for reinvestment ahead of the 3rd division campaign.

Cup: We reach the 3rd round with our prize being a mauling at the hands of Flamengo.

Elsewhere: Wigan make it 5 in a row, Spurs get relegated, Oviedo survive on the last day & Billericay stay put after a number of league clubs raid their squad.

2021 Brazilian Third Division

I may not have a crystal ball but I see the Brazilian equivalent of a P45 in my future, might as well start packing my bags now.

We were appalling on our travels only managing a single away victory (6-0 win though), home form is only slightly better failing to score in four games.

To prove statistics on their own are meaningless we have the best attack & by one goal the 2nd best defence in our group.

Final Standings: 6th Pld14 W4 D4 L6 GF21 GA14 Pts16

Hopefully I'll be able to send most of the squad out on loan to keep their fitness up & save some money until the state championship begins.

Finally I need to correct my last update as I didn't check the games played column before leaving for work this morning. I'm afraid to report Real Oviedo were actually relegated on the final day of the season, Aberdeen also found themselves relegated only five years after celebrating back to back SPL titles.
