2013/14: League 2

After last season's suberb finish I have confidence this season will be a good one, 2 new GK's & 2 attacking full-backs join the in the summer followed by 2 experienced MC's in January. The season gets off to a flyer & we win 6 of the first 5 & occupy first place for the the whole 2013. After collecting December's MOM award January is a disaster, we win the new years day game but then lose 6 on the bounce & don't win till mid February. (Title chances all but gone)

The final few months are a nervous affair, going into April it looks like we are going to blow it. Thankfully the teams in the play-off places all take points of each other & we limp over the line in 3rd place winning only 1 of our last 4 games. My 19 year old ST is turning into a real gem, he has a 30 goal season, signs a 4 year contract & gets an Eire U21 cap.

Final Standing: 3rd 21W 14D 11L +25GD 77pts
Cups: JPT:Q/F, LC:2nd Rd, FA Cup:3rd Rd (no decent ties so no huge sums made)

Before the World cup update I should clarify that I was of course only top the the remainder of 2013 not all of it as suggested, D'oh.

Spain 2014

Group Stage: Notible exits are Holland, Portugal & Argentina.

2nd Rd: Out are Romania, Brazil, Norway, France, Germany, Columbia, Sweden & USA.

Q/Finals: Out go Denmanrk, Czech Rep, Nigeria & of course England (yes it was on penalties).

Semi's Ukraine p0-0 Spain
Italy 2-2p Mexico

Final: Ukraine 0-1 Mexico, despite the scoreline mexico dominate the final with the Ukraine not getting a single shot on target.

England get a near clean sweep of the awards collecting the best GK, player & goal awards, the golden boot goes to Romania powerhouse with 5 goals.

2014/15: League 1

Wholesale changes this season including a 32 year old former Blackburn & Perugia ST, 8 players impressed during trails & are snapped up, 17 see the door including the last player to be at the club since I joined (a sad day indeed), running costs are starting t cripple & I will end the season 600K in the red.

By Decmeber we sit in 8th but our lack of goals is starting to worry me. We then suffer our usual post xmas party dip in form/ability, from January 1st we only manage 18 goals only to be saved from relegation by a defence that only conceeds 26 in the same period (20 games). Over the whole season I have to suffer 10 0-0 draws (yawn).

Ex EPL & Serie A stiker is leading scorer with 13 & my two keepers manage 22 clean sheet between them, young Irish striker suffers lose of form after getting first U21 goal & only manages 8 goals all year.

Final Standings:19th 14W 12D 20L -8GD 54pts
Cups:Arse, not a single win.

IN addition to last season's update the club has decided to build a nice new 12500 all seater stadium to be ready in 2 years.

Unfortunately the board take out a £20m loan for the project with £200K pcm repayments.

Based on last year when we lost £70k per month & are already £600K+ in debt I'm not entirely confident I'll keeping hold of too many players next season.

Nobby update: Billericay finished 14th in C.South last year, maybe this time.

2015/16: League 1

Thanks to the new stadium project the clubs finances are crippled, 29 players have to leave, key players then pick up injuries early doors, by mid November we sit 23rd. Performances start to improve over December as players start to return & our form in the New Year is excellent, come mid may we have a nosebleed while sitting 8th. The inevitable correction happens & it all ends in mid-table safety.

Final Standings: 17th 15W 13D 18L 54Gf 55GA 58Pts
Cups: Early exist in all competitions

As for the money were losing more than a Premiership footballer in Vegas, by mid May were £1.5m in debt. The board do offer me a new contract unfortunately I forget it was due & while on holiday I'm given a 1 year rolling deal. I get the feeling I'll not be around the grand opening of the new stadium.
