I think you might be right there, I didn't spot that his birthday was just before he joined. I only noted that when the pre-contract agreement was done he was 15 with excellent stats & scouting recommendation.

No you're probably right, I just remember not being able to field a decent 15 year old in the Belarussian leagues - whole different ball game there though!
It makes sense to have that rule only applying for the Football League, as far as I am concerned, teams of lower quality than that should just be able to field the best players available to them.

Must be said I'm still none the wiser about a minimum age in the conference divisions, hopefully I won't find out until FM2008.
