2027/28 Premier League

Following last season’s surprise promotion the board & fans expect us to fight bravely against relegation I just don't want to embarrass myself, unfortunately it only takes a few months for the mistakes to become apparent. Spending £3.5m on a left winger you fails to get a work permit is bad enough but I failed to notice this fact & we end up paying for him to sit at home until we can ship him off to Belgium in January.

The players I can field are nowhere near EPL quality, My young defence & midfield are put the sword on numerous occasions & my strikers show why none of them ever made it to the top flight before. We spend all season in the bottom four, relegation is confirmed somewhat surprisingly with only one game left the fact that it's an away game at St Andrews just serves to add insult to injury. I only hope the fans forgive me.

Reading this has inspired me to start a LLM game when I get home from work. :thup:

Just dont know whether to do 07 or 08. 08 is really annoying me at times with its crappy bugs but its really hard to take a step back once I've played a newer game!

You seem to get through your seasons at some pace too. I can only really get in a max of 3 or 4 hours a night, 2 or 3 nights a week, doesnt get me anywhere fast

As for the speed having a fast PC helps & also running out of beer tokens towards the end of the month will always encourage long FM sessions.

Dilemma time.

It's Feb 2029 & a save that looked like losing it's interest (poor season start after relegation) has just clicked back into life, I've got a good chance of promotion with a young & promising squad however I have a fully patched 08 save ready to start.

What would some of you regulars do?

Leave a save that two days ago you were ready to give up on for the greener grass of FM08 or stay with it knowing there is a good chance you might not want to let go.

Although I can't claim to be a regular, I'd stick with this save until you get to the point that you really don't want to anymore. Keep the faith!
