Nearly lower league club is in takeover discussions to be bought out by the website MyFootballClub.co.uk
The members of this site will own an equal share in the club and will vote on player selection, formations, purchases etc
Do you think that if this happens that Football Manager 2009 will incorporate this?

If they do then I for one will never play the game again.
It's a stupid idea, patronised by stupid people and an equally stupid club. It will never work, it's even worse than a club becoming a Russian billionaire's plaything.
Voting on player selection, how daft can you get
This is a question for GQ, btw.

Fair enough, I wasn't sure if this was GQ or not but if incorporated into the game then it will effect LLM.
It may be a stupid idea, I too don't think it'll work, but it'll be interesting to see how it fairs.

I just hope the club doesn't go bust because of some gloryseekers. The only reason they did it is to have their name in lights

I think it could work as it brings into the club 20k new fans plus 450k in capital
Ebbsfleet average less than 1k at home despite being just outside the play offs which surely can't be enough money to push on into the football league particularly in the south east were player wages, business rates etc, etc are likely to be higher.
As it is Ebbsfleet are never likely to progress beyond the confernce national owing to their average gates so for them I think it is worth taking a chance particularly as their core support base would be enough to get them back to ryman premier league/ confernce south level which is in reality is about their level
As for tactics, transfers etc. I believe that the manager pus his suggestions to the members who then say ye or nay can't see to many of them being stupid enough to radically disagree with his opinion

It's a tricky one for me. While I strongly disagree with what is basically an articifically created fanbase of people who don't live there, if they are successful it will show just what can be done if fans of a club get their heads together. I hope they do quite well, I hope other teams adopt the model with their existing fanbase, rather than some Latvian sugar daddy. Whatever happens I hope this is the first and last team that allows fans to actually pick the team (allowing them to vote on their opinions should be as far as it should EVER be allowed to go, with the result kept private). Above all else though, I hope the club doesn't go bust when the bubble bursts.
