Season ended in.. meh July I think. Restarts in February. I have taken them from bottom of the league to smashing the league apart in 2 seasons. After season 2 is completed there is a long break.. 6-8 months... I sign 5 quality players...

They are paticularly upset that you appear to be making no real attempt to fulfill the clubs ambitions. (err finances are good, league is in hiatus.. what do you want me to do?)

WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!?
I take over, 3 year plan is to survive in bottom league.
Year 1: Take over half way through season. Had to get out my binoculars to see where safety was. Media said they would finish bottom. I scraped them up to survival on goal difference.
Have I met aims? Yes
Year 2: Strengthen team thanks to scouts. Get some guys on loan. Media says relegation battlers. I have a good start that never ends. Win the league with 3 games spare.
Have I met aims? Yes, I'm not even in the same league... how can they be disappointed!?
During the break, I sign several of the best players in the league I just won. I sign a couple of youth rejects from decent teams. I have no transfer funds left. Wage budget is comfortable and I feel the squad I have is apt enough for mid table safety or better.
I go on holiday. Why? Because as fun as pressing the space button through 5 month's is.. it just isn't. Scouts are still scouting, I have no team to manage, I get on with whatever else a part-time manager does.
Yet in my holiday the board want me to do something? What can I do. I have saved the finances in the 2 seasons I have been there. The team are off doing whatever Norwegian players do in the break. The new players are in... What else can I do!?
Now to my question.
Is this game rubbish for such a change to happen?
Have a missed something? If so what? Because in my eyes right now this is just ridiculous.
I've seen a few people mention something similar "elsewhere" (you understand), it is a bit daft considering how good you're doing.
Is there anything you could've overlooked? Like not re-signing a key player to a longer contract or something like that? Or is this just a random off-the-wall happening?

I was pointing out that this is my first game that has actually gone well. Ridiculously well by my standards and thus I see no reason from my performance that my contract wouldn't be renewed.
I was linked to other clubs because I was over achieving. I made it clear that I wanted to stay so my loyalty wasn't in question.
As far as key players. I had 5 last season. 2 were on loan. The 3 key players which were mine were retained.
Like I said in my original post, new talent was also signed and from what I could see the club is very much on the up and up.
